About the Score

This dark tango for men's chorus sets the first chapter of the classical Chinese Daodejing (Tao Te Ching) in both the original Chinese and a free English adaptation. At times mysterious, at others thunderous, the work was commissioned and premiered by the University of Wyoming Singing Statesmen, Nicole Lamartine, director.
