About the Score

In the past ten years I’ve lived in six states. Because of my husband’s job, we will move approximately every two years for the next fifteen years. I see my peers settling down in homes, staying in cities for years, beginning families, maintaining stable jobs, becoming members of a community. Because I stay so briefly in each new city, it is difficult to feel truly home in any city. Fortunately, I’ve found the warmth and comfort of home in my marriage. Home isn’t always a place. Sometimes home is a feeling you have, living and being with someone you love.
