About the Score

This 5 minute choral piece is about living with a compassionate heart in an angry world. It celebrates the spirit of the people of Minneapolis who responded with love for their neighbors and courage to confront injustice in their community. It is the second of three pieces in a suite entitled "The Heart's Journey" based on texts by Euan Tait. The first piece, "I Live in a Heart," is published by Galaxy Music and is available on JWPepper.com. The third piece, "The Journey," will be premiered by The University of Minnesota Chamber Singers in April, 2027. Contact dickau@mnsu.edu for more information.
