About the Score

This is an upbeat, short piece that captures the wonder of new life in spring time. The beautiful text is by Langston Hughes.

This piece was commissioned by the Salt Lake Choral Artists (Brady Allred, conductor) for their performance at The World Choral Symposium in Argentina, in 2011. It has since been performed in America, China, Denmark, Holland, Japan, Spain, Croatia, France, and Italy.
