About the Score

This piece was commissioned by the 2019-2020 Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota's "Con Brio" choir. It is set to poetry by former Classical MPR host Brian Newhouse, and also includes text by Hildegard von Bingen (c. 1098-1179). This score is more oriented in the secular winter holiday realm, though it does have elements of sacredness to it. It will stretch the abilities of a treble choir and make them really shine. Though a good pianist is needed, this work undoubtedly will add a unique flair to your holiday program.
