About the Score

This short, unaccompanied composition was written after the memorial service for a friend with whom I had the honor to sing in choir. The mostly homophonic texture allows the lyrics, in either Latin (“requiem Aeternam”) or English (“rest in peace”), to be clearly heard and deeply felt. The piece is written for six voices, solo or in sections, and easy to learn.
