With over thirty-five years of experience in the music publishing industry and more than 500 compositions in the Jo-Michael Scheibe Choral Series, which features composers from around the globe, I have observed that publishers sometimes hesitate to take risks on music that falls outside traditional publishing models. This new series with MusicSpoke will highlight compositions and arrangements that diverge from the standard catalog. The Jo-Michael Scheibe Choral Series with MusicSpoke will include works that may have unconventional voicings, exceed the typical three to five-minute duration of octavos, or feature unusual instrumentation. I encourage new composers, especially those who are just starting in the publishing world, and established composers to submit their works for consideration.
