Julia Seeholzer takes much of her compositional influence from color – intervalic relationships conjure specific hues, which in turn dictate a piece’s direction. Her works have been commissioned and performed by the Urban Playground Chamber Orchestra, University of Chicago’s Camerata, the Tenuto Chamber Singers, WomenSing, Trio d’Esprit, and others. Julia currently lives in Warsaw, Poland, where she studies advanced choral writing with Paweł Łukaszewski.
